• The Makers Barn is a retreat center built in a monumental farm from 1924, situated on a 13,000 m2 plot of land.
• Built inside a historical hay shed featuring the original hatch roof structure
• We offer beautiful & comfortable farm style facilities and accommodation

• We have animals at our farm: turkeys, chickens, dogs and cats.

Mindful walking meditation
We planted 1200 trees and many wild flowers on our land, creating gorgeous paths for walking meditations.
Stargazing
Our farm is in the perfect spot in the Netherlands light pollution wise! On clear evenings, the sky here is gorgeous and we could gaze at the moon and stars through a professional telescope !
Fire Circle
in-ground fire pit. Special design offering extra warmth, coziness and view from above on the fire.
Wellness Facilities
Sauna
stones stove sauna for 5-6 people at a time, inside a charming barn. essential oils available..
Hottub
wood stove hottub suitable for 8 people at a time. Outdoors shower is right next to the hottub
Swimming pond
natural swimming pond right on our land ! With a small beach, many plants and filtered water. Great for biodiversity, beautiful spot to relax and for the brave - take a cold dip!

Yoga Shala
• Built inside a historical hay shed featuring the original hatch roof structure
• Windows to our beautiful fields & trees
• Features a unique coloured glass design to bring in extra magic on sunny days
• Fully equipped with bolsters, meditation cushions, yoga mats, blocks, blankets, speakers and floor heating
• Yoga class capacity - up to 15 people
• The yoga shala can also be used for other activities, equipped with a great sound system and a collection of musical instruments (shruti box, drums, singing bowls etc)
• Communal space for everyone to chill if the weather is bad, or to share a meal together

The Makers Barn is all about connecting to nature and relaxing. We offer beautiful & comfortable farm-style facilities and accommodation. We don't claim to be a luxury hotel, but we provide a unique experience that allows you to reconnect with nature and find inner peace.
For the last 3 years, we've been renovating the farm, creating new spaces and restoring the biodiversity of the land. We've planted 1200 new trees so far, creating a beautiful long path along the land border - great for walking meditation.
